Origin of Vegetables

Imported Organic Vegetables

For import organic vegetables, Chun Wo Holdings must fulfill the following conditions:
  1. In order to standardize the inspection and quarantine supervision and management of vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao and ensure the quality, safety and stable supply of vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao, in accordance with the “Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China” and its implementation regulations, and the “Import and Export Commodity Inspection Law of the People’s Republic of China” and its implementation regulations , the “Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine Law of the People’s Republic of China” and its implementation regulations, the “Special Provisions of the State Council on Strengthening the Safety Supervision and Administration of Food and Other Products” and other laws and regulations, these Measures are formulated.
  2. These measures apply to the inspection, quarantine, supervision and management of fresh and preserved vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao.
  3. The General Administration of Customs is responsible for the inspection and quarantine supervision and management of vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao nationwide.
  4. The customs implements record-keeping management of vegetable planting bases for Hong Kong and Macao (hereinafter referred to as planting bases) and vegetable production and processing enterprises for Hong Kong and Macao (hereinafter referred to as production and processing enterprises). Planting bases and production and processing enterprises should register with the customs.
  5. Planting bases, production and processing enterprises or farmers’ professional cooperative economic organizations are responsible for the quality and safety of vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao. Planting bases and production and processing enterprises should engage in planting, production and processing activities in accordance with China’s laws, regulations, rules and food safety standards, and establish and improve a sound system from planting, The quality safety control system and quality traceability system for the entire process from processing to export ensure that vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao meet the relevant inspection and quarantine requirements of the Hong Kong or Macao Special Administrative Region. If there are no relevant inspection and quarantine requirements in the Hong Kong or Macao Special Administrative Region, they shall comply with the relevant mainland inspection and quarantine requirements.
  6. The customs supervises the planting, production and processing of vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao, and conducts random inspections of vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao.
  7. The customs has established a risk warning and rapid response system for vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao.
  8. The competent customs shall implement record-keeping management of planting bases. Vegetables from non-registered bases shall not be used as processing raw materials for vegetables supplied to Hong Kong and Macao, except for small varieties of vegetables otherwise specified by the General Administration of Customs.
  9. Planting bases, production and processing enterprises or farmers’ professional cooperative economic organizations (hereinafter referred to as planting base registration entities) shall apply for planting base registration to the customs where the planting base is located.
